Farewell

hmmm.. a poem i submitted for our school paper during my senior high, luckily it was published! its kinda mushy..

On that rainy day
You came my way
Out of your simplicity
You made me fall instantly...

Whenever you pass by
I feel drifted in the sky
As you come and approach me
Your serene face, i can see

You fill my days with laughter
And make it a bit brighter
Turning my darkest night
Into a gleaming morning light

I tried to flourish honesty
Yet, you showed uncertainty
So, I waited patiently
For you to answer me...

I uttered that its true
But for you it wasn't new
You didn't perceive my sincerity
Maybe you're just too blind to see

One day you said farewell
On the place where I did dwell
It saddened me much you ought to know
But I have to let you go
