Silence

Silence

A Poem by S. Marie

Two days before we married in the sun, under white canopy and lace, I lay in your lap while you plucked at my brows.

"I want to talk about something." You said.

So talk

"I think I might want an open relationship."

I stared up at you, uncomprehending the moment. After all, you had asked a few months before. On the blue couch, while we made our wedding flowers for the tables.
