Case 3: Believe

{Scene takes place the day after the incident with the television. Vic wakes up in a cold sweat. Vanessa walks into the bedroom & smiles}

Vanessa: (smiles; walks in with a plate of food on a tray) Hey, sleepy head. (giggles)

Vic: (looks at Vanessa; smiles) Is that for me?

Vanessa: (smiles) Duh, who else would it be for. (giggles; sets tray down on Vic's lap) Now eat 'cause I know you busy today.

Vic: (looking confused) How you know? (starts eating)

Vanessa: (sits next to him; takes out a note) Hmmm, says here to meet up with Ron & them at 3 by the park.

Vic: (looks at note) Oh s**t. (laughs) I forgot I wrote it down.

Vanessa: (smiles; hands note to Vic) Well, like I said eat up & get to doing what ya gotta do OK?

Vic: (looks at Vanessa; smiles) Hey, umm, about the kiss last night----(gets cut off)

Vanessa:---(interrupts)---Don't even worry it'll stay between us OK? (smiles)

Vic: (blushes; smiles) OK, sounds good. (looks at Vanessa all sweet)

Vanessa: (looks at Vic; smiles) What?

Vic: (smiles) Nothing.

Vanessa: (smiles; shoves Vic) Shut up, but uhh are you better from yesterday?

Vic: (looks at Vanessa) What you mean?

Vanessa: You don't remember?

Vic: (finishes up eating) Apparently not (chuckles)

Vanessa: (looks at Vic; lets out deep breath) Well, you kinda flipped out last night. Said you seen something in the television.

Vic: (gulps; gets quiet) Oh...uh...I haven't any idea, but I mean I am better. Just i can't explain what it was. You'd think I'm crazy.

Vanessa: (looks at Vic; puts hand on his face; looks in his eyes) You know I would never think that. (smiles)

Vic: (smiles; looks back in Vanessa's eyes) OK, OK, well, I think I'm seeing ghosts or more like demons. (gets quiet)

Vanessa: (looks at Vic) Seriously? Are you sure?

Vic: (sighs) I mean I don't know. Like after I left for Ron's yesterday I got this excruciating pain in my chest. Then suddenly I look in my rear view mirror & I see this big black mass staring at me.

Vanessa: (concerned) Like the one in the movie?

Vic: (looks at her; nods head "Yes") And like ever since that incident I would see this mass everywhere.

Vanessa: Um, is it harmful? (looks at Vic kinda scared)

Vic: (looks at Vanessa) I don't know (grabs her face; looks in her eyes) But I would never let anything happen to you.

Vanessa: (smiles) I know. (blushes) But here get together 'cause Dre should be home soon.

Vic: (get up slow; stretches; groans) Agh, damn today gonna be a long day.

Vanessa: (smiles) Well, just text me or call me if anything happens OK?

Vic: (looks at Vanessa; smiles) OK, I will.

Vanessa: (grabs Vic; kisses him slow) I mean it.

Vic: (smiles big) I know bay. (looks at her; walks downstairs; puts on shoes; walks out to car)

Vanessa: (walks to door) Bye, Vic. I love you (smiles; blows kiss)

Vic: (turns around; smiles) I love you too. (blows kisses back; gets in car; pulls off to the park)

{Scene takes place at a park named Tungska Park. Ron, Quin & Marcus are seen standing by a pavilion. Vic parks & walks over to the group}

Vic: WHAT'S UP B*****S! (laughs)

Quin: (runs over to Vic; almost crashes into him) What's good, bro? (shakes Vic's hand)

Vic: Not s**t. Just got back from Nessa's. (smiles)

Quin: (smiles) The f**k you all happy for? You get some p***y or something?

Vic: (laughs) Nah, just was a good night.

Quin: (giggles) N***a, you know you gave her some of that Rico Suave s**t. Bet she was like (trying to imitate girl) 'Oh, Vic you are so big, you are so----

Vic: (slaps Quin in the back of the head) Shut the f**k up! (laughs)

Quin: (laughs) C'mon n***a you know you wanted to lay her down & give her some puerto rican loving. 

Vic: (laughing) F**k you, n***a!

Ron: (looks over at Quin & Vic) Guys! C'mon we gonna f**k around or get some business done?

Quin: (looks at Ron) Yo, Ronny calm ya ball sack bro.

Vic: (walking over with Quin; looks at Ron) So, what do ya got?

Ron: Well, luckily Quest here got some things at his house we could definitely use.

Marcus: Actually, it's my sisters s**t. Just she letting me use it cause she doesn't use it. 

Ron: (looks at Marcus; then back to everybody else) Well, either way we got equipment. Then there's one other thing we need....motivation. 

Quin: (looks at Ron) The f**k you mean we need motivation? Gimme some weed & have a bad b***h suck my dick then we straight. (laughs)

Vic: (shakes head; looks at Quin) He means like do we have experiences that we can relate to other people.

Quin: (laughs) F**k no! What the f**k do I look like?

Vic: A cripple. (laughs)

Quin: (looks at Vic; gives him the finger) Eat a dick, n***a!

Vic: Sorry I'm not your ex.

Vic: (slaps forehead) You're a f****n' trip!

Marcus: (looks at Quin; laughs) This guy, but (looks at Ron) I have an experience.

Ron: (looks at Marcus) Oh yeah? What is it?

Marcus: (clears throat) Well, I was making a sandwich one day & heard a sound down in my basement I went to go see what it was & then I heard it again. Before I could see if it was my stupid cat I was already upstairs running to my room (laughs)

Ron: (shaking head) That's not good enough sorry, Quest.

Vic: (looks at Ron) Well, Mr. Ronald what the f**k you got?

Ron: (looks at Vic) Actually, when I went to Purksville I went to Satan's Hole & I swear something touched me.

Quin: (looks at Ron) You sure it wasn't some f****t trying to get at'chu? (laughs)

Ron: (sucks teeth) F**k you guys! Wait Vic what do you got Mr. skeptic?

Vic: (looks at everybody) I don't know...I um.....(gets quiet)

Ron: (looks at Vic) You got something! C'mon Vic you gotta tell us!

Vic: (looks at everybody again; looks down; sighs) OK, uh, I seen this demonic thing for the past couple hours even yesterday.

Marcus: (looks at Vic) Wait, are you talking about the supposed black mass you seen?

Vic: (looks at Marcus; nods 'Yes') And ever since that incident with Quest like I been seeing it everywhere.

Ron: (stroking his beard) Interesting...so you're telling me...that this demon spirit or whatever it is.....could be anywhere you are....like....here?

Vic: (shrugs shoulders) I don't know. (looks over at tree; the black mass is seen floating there smiling; words out "Tell them") Oh.....my.....god. It's here

Quin: (confused) Where the f**k is it?

Ron: (looking at Vic) I think it only wants Vic to see it, but the vibe I'm getting right now isn't good.

{Suddenly the black mass jolts over & knocks over Vic to the ground. Vic lays there holding his chest. Vic soon passes out. Everybody is frantic. Soon they grab Vic & rush him to the hospital. The mass floats in the spot where Vic once was & begins to laugh manically. Scene cuts)
