Kiss of Nothing

Kiss of Nothing

A Poem by A

Can you tell when it's your last?

Are there signs?

Maybe

I’m blind

or just stupid

Missing

that moment

where our lips met

I didn’t realize it was our last

I would have kept it on my lips

I had been used to quick and often

If I would have

or

Could have

known

I would not have been able to let your lips leave mine

I would have super glued mine to yours

Only to get a laugh

of my childish act

I can’t remember which kiss was our last

Was it filled with the bitterness that your goodbye held?

Was it a last attempt to see if there was a magic, a spark

to want you to make this work

or

Was it nothing

Nothing

that you say

that I was

that I am

to

You...?
