Knot In This Life

Knot In This Life

A Poem by A

Does the plans you once had

not occur

Your world is in a hurricane

and

you are barely holding on

thread by thread

knot by knot

To feel like a knot?

a rope?

twisted so tight

afraid to let go?

What to do?

or

Even How?

every time a burst of wind

comes your way

you loop once more around

your ends are frayed

but still you hold on

all tied up

waiting

to be cut free

Very cool metaphor! I like the intensity of this piece. Great write!

I love the last couple of lines after the middle part of the poem, the ones talking about "ends are frayed...cut free" Everything in between there, I love.

Good poem. It flows, and the questions add a bit to it. However, in my personal opinion, there are a few too many questions. Perhaps you could try working some of them out?
