All I Wanted.

All I Wanted.

A Poem by A

And All I ever wanted was for You to fight for me
I have said goodbye
I run
You know this
I know this
You don't care
I can say I'm done
I'm trying I really am
I wish I never met You
It would be so much easier if I never had to get over you
You will always be my what if
We never had a chance
We were never right
in the same place
or
at the same time
Maybe years from now
Maybe in another world
Maybe another life
or
Up in the clouds
maybe
We can meet again
I will always have a part of You
You will have no part of me
You didn't care
You were maybe
afraid
or
just like the attention
I gave you enough of that
I built you up
and
You watched as I crumbled
I cried out for you
You were all I wanted and you didn't fight
You gave up
on Me
on what could have been
What if?
Maybe?
Two souls alike
One afraid, not caring
One too tired of waiting
for you too see
how much you meant to me
how much I was willing to give to you
I'm falling apart slowly crumbling
And you don't even give me the attention
I have bestowed upon you
Chance after Chance
I really must say I'm done
I wish deleting you from an electronic was as easy as deleting you from heart
All I wanted
was what we could have been
At least to try
All I wanted was for you to fight
fight for love
fight for hope of what we could have been
just fight
for
Me.
