Overlooked

Overlooked

A Poem by A

Lies, Threats, And Guilt

All overlooked

I give my all to you

I love you

I ache when I cant be near you

I close my eyes

                there you are

taking over my dreams

my every thought

the nights you held me

the nights you cared

I was your only

But how can these moments

That last so short

Make up for

The wait

The pain

I waited

So many chances

You never came

You never ran after me

Chance after chance

And yet

Here I am

Still

Waiting

Still

Wanting you

I love you

And maybe

Just maybe

I always will…

I thought you wrote this poem quite beautifully and I felt very connected to the subject. I sometimes think the exact same things. And that first line, "Lies, threats and guilt...all overlooked" was my favorite. Awesome piece of work.
