Hardest Good-Byes

Hardest Good-Byes

A Poem by A

Have you ever had to say good bye?

The good bye

That is

     heart wrenching

Bitter

Sweet

His lips on yours

As your part

You know this is a last

As your tears mix with your tongues intertwined into each other

Your lips and heart say a final farewell

As I walked away

I wanted

To stop

To turn

To run back

Into your arms

To have you wrap me up

in the air

To hold me forever

There I would

Be All yours

To lay with you always

To feel the passion I felt

The magic and sparks literally flew in between us

The death I once suffered

Was reawakened

Urge and sensation

That no one

but you

fulfilled

Memories flash through as I begin to walk away

The moonlight on the lake

The rock wall I am placed upon

You stand and my legs are wrapped around you

Our laughs echo through the serene scene around us

The moon our nightlight in the sky

Your lips press firmly.

 but so gentle against mine

Your hands searched my body

Touched my soul

You learned me

You became familiar with me

I was comforted with you

I was there

Your kisses so personal

       So real

You taught me

To slow down

To live in each moment

To learn each one in and out

I am forever grateful

From the first to the last

You held me up

Made me feel whole

Our hands once intertwined

You were with me through pain

You made me feel wanted

       Needed

You held me

with no timer

No stopping

Just to be with me

…then

Thank you for that

For your lips

For your touch

…For you

Poem is very beautiful. I like the beginning questions. Goodbyes are never good. Leave permanent scar to educate and make wiser if we are lucky. I like the ending. We need balance and someone to trust. A outstanding poem.
