Innocence...?

Innocence...?

A Poem by A

how do you go from being Innocent

to...?

to what...?

If I lost my Innocence.

then what am I now?

I'm an enigma

thousands of pieces indulge me

some shattered

some pristine

some have lost Innocence

but somewhere

deep inside there is my remaining

                              ... Innocence

maybe to resurface again

maybe drowned to a point of oblivion

how..

one day you are holding hands

one day you are taking a sip of wine

... Innocent?

one day hugging endlessly filled up

one day drinking a full glass

of that drink resembling lemonade

makes you 'oh so dizzy

... Innocent?

kissing unable to stop. think. change.

sweat glistens on your sternum

healthy moans escape you

hands. bodies. one. tongues. lips. everywhere.

no substance. just intimacy. passion. pleasure.

... Innocent?

what. when. where. who. why.

decision made. choices gone. consequences now.

do You become unworthy?

become unmentionable?

whisper. hisses. knock you.

the talk, rumors.

true. lie.

spreading,

gas on fire

slow. fast. faster.

then

just gone.

Is your Innocence

stolen.

gifted.

thrown.

handed.

labeling you.

your body.

your soul.

your title.

what is?

what is not?

what can?

what will never?

how will you lose.

what will you gain.

Innocence.

gone...

Now.

            Never.

                          Forever...?

It seems like childhood goes by in the blink of an eye, even more so today.... wow that was very poignant and profound work as you really do take a deep look at how fast the world does revolve... very raw and powerful work.
