Chapter 2

 

Once we arrived into Sioux City, the guys told us they were going to meet up with some of their friends, and that we could go shopping. I pulled into the mall. We grabbed our wallets and walked through the stores. A couple hours had passed when Austin called me and told me that they were outside waiting for us. We paid for the clothes we had tried on, grabbed our shopping bags and walked out towards our car. Austin was parked next to us. “Connor, god d****t, you are done, you are a f****n klutz.” Austin was screaming at Connor, when we walked around to their car. I asked Cain what had happened and he told me that Connor had brought a bag of weed in the car and had spilled it under Austin’s car seat. Austin ignored me so I raised my voice and said, “Get in the car and follow me.” Austin hesitated at first, but then followed me. I drove around for a bit until I found a car wash. I pulled next to the car vacuums. Austin pulled up to another one and made Connor get out of the car and clean it up. 

Around 7 we drove over to Austin’s friend’s house where the party was. Justin took my hand and led me through the crowd. I followed him, I saw Harper sitting by two guys, Cain was over playing pool, and Cole was standing and talking to some girls. Justin pulled me into a room and wrapped his arms around me and laid me on a bed. He pressed his lips against me and our mouths opened and our tongues entered into the kiss. Justin pulled off my shirt, I let him. Justin’s shirt was off and soon we were laying there him with his boxers on and me with my bra and underwear. Justin started to take off my underwear. I tried to pull his hand up in a way to say, no. “Justin I’m not um ready.” I said through breaths. He looked into my eyes with a look of determination, “Yes, Anna yes you are ready.” I took my hands and tried to push him off, but he was so strong and held his ground. Thoughts raced through my mind, tears came to my eyes. Justin reached to take off his boxers, when the door swung open.

In walked Cole, he took one look at us, and started to walk out. He turned around one last time, our eyes met; he saw my eyes screaming for help. He walked over to us and grabbed Justin and pulled him off of me. Justin flew on the ground, and got back up and swung his fist into Cole’s jaw. Cole’s lip started to bleed. I winced and cried, “Justin get out of here. Stop it!” Justin grabbed his pants, and left the room, looking back at me with anger in his eyes. I sat back down and pulled my pants back on. Cole looked from me to the door and turned to leave. I reached for my shirt and looked at him, I wanted to scream, I wanted to tell him to stay, I wanted to tell him it still wasn’t over for me, I wanted to tell him that I thought that I still loved him, but nothing came out. For once in my life, no words would come out of my mouth. 

My eyes and my heart screamed for him to stay. He reached for the doorknob and went to twist it. The door was locked, it wouldn’t open. Without turning around he said, “Anna, why didn’t you tell me you were back in town?” I opened my mouth to answer, but he continued, “You just showed up with Justin, I mean it hurt. It just I don’t know do you really like him?” He turned around now, our eyes met and I shook my head, “Cole, no I still like you, I just I mean it’s wasn’t over for me, but now it’s to late you have a girlfriend and I don’t want to get in the middle of that.” Cole stared at me and said, “Anna I broke up with my girlfriend in March, It wasn’t over for me either.” He took a step towards me, wrapped his arms around me, “It still isn’t over” he said. Our lips met, our hearts touched. 

The door flung open and in walked Austin and Libby hand in hand. “Cole, what the hell? I told you to stay away from her.” Austin hissed. Cole and I stepped away from each other. Cole took my hand in his and said, “Austin, I’m sorry I thought it would be easy to get over her, but then I saw her and it wasn’t I’m sorry, but I can’t do that anymore.” Austin’s eyes softened and he said, “Oh man I’m sorry I didn’t know how you felt. Cole kissed me and I smiled. “You-guys we need to get everyone out to the cars and head home, there are some cops coming,” Austin interrupted. My smile faded, and I said, “Okay well Cole and I will go look for them and we will meet out by the car. 

We walked a couple rooms down and found Connor having sex with some girl. “Connor c’mon we have to go.” I said, Connor turned over, “Oh god, get some clothes on.” I said with a laugh. Cole and I walked out into the midst of the party. We found Cain sitting over with some guys drinking and we told him to head out to the cars. Harper came over to us, and we all walked out to the cars. Libby and Austin were making-out by the cars. Connor, Cain, Harper and Cole, and I were all there. Everyone was there, except Justin. I let go of Cole’s hand and walked back towards the party. Cole followed me, but I told him to go stand back by the car and that I didn’t want another fight to break out. I walked through the crowds looking for Justin, I couldn’t find him anywhere. I walked up the stairs hollering his name, “Justin, Justin where are you?” I got to the top level and walked into a room. 

Justin was lying on the ground with a bottle of beer in his hand. I ran over to him and felt his pulse, I started screaming help! But no one came. I thought back to my cpr classes. I plugged his nose and breathed into him. I repeated this a couple more times. His eyes finally opened. There was silence, and then I helped him up. I led him down the stairs. I could hear sirens in the distance, and I led him down the steps faster. Once we were down in the party, we walked through the crowd, he pulled me towards him and stuck his lips on mine, he smelled of alcohol and pot. I pushed him away and pulled him out to the cars. 

Austin and Cole grabbed Justin and pulled him into the car. Libby and Harper were in the car. I walked over to the driver’s side; Cole pulled me into him and kissed me. We pulled away and he got in the car with Austin and I hopped into the car, with the key in the ignition I hit the gas and we pulled out onto the interstate, just making it, as we could hear the sirens in the neighborhood when we left. We pulled into Austin’s driveway a couple hours later. Austin led us into the house. Justin, Connor, and Cain grabbed some beer and headed down to the boats. Harper, Libby, and Austin followed them and hopped into the boat. Cole and I stepped onto the boat and we pulled out. We met up with Aly and some of us hopped onto her boat. We drove over by the park, where there were fireworks going on. Connor and Harper went towards the front of the boat and laid down next to each other. Austin and Libby were on Austin’s boat sitting down and talking. Aly, Cain, and Justin were drinking some beer. They jumped into the water. I handed them their drinks. Cole and I sat next to each other and watched the fireworks. He put his arm around me and pulled me into him, we kissed underneath the lights.

This needs more detail and it definitely needs to be separated into paragraphs. It was really hard to read because there was nothing separating all the different ideas. You have a good idea that I think you can really make better and go far with.
