The heat was immense from the sun that shone all day. The sky was blue except for the few birds that decided to take flight through the sky. There I was laying horizontal underneath him. Justin reached for my shirt, I took his hand smiled and kissed him. The door flung open at that moment. There stood Austin. "Oh Justin, man I'm sor..." He ended the sentence with his mouth gaping when he realized I was the girl that Justin was making-out with. Austin's eyes had pure shock in them. "Aanna uhh what the hell are you doing here?" He stuttered. "I um just got in from California a couple days ago and um I was just hanging out with Justin" I replied. Austin glared at Justin and looked over at me, "Why don't you-guys join us for lunch?" in more of a demand then a question. Justin and I looked at each other put our shoes on and followed Austin out the door. We walked towards the car, I could see Connor, Cain, and omigosh my heart started beating fast, my palms began to sweat, it was Cole, my summer love. Justin looked over at me and followed my gaze towards Cole. He took my hand in his. I looked at him and smiled. I got into the car and sat next to Connor. Justin sat on my right side. Cole was to the far left. Austin started the car and pulled out of the driveway. Connor turned around to face me, "Anna how was California?" I replied, "It was really fun, I missed the snow, but the sun wasn't all bad." Connor smiled at me I returned the smile when Cain said, "You went to an all-girls academy didn't you?" I nod. Cain faces forward laughs and says, “Well at least we know you did not turn into a lesbian.” Connor, Austin, and Justin all join in laughing. I smile and turn towards Cole who is staring forward. We pulled into Quiznos drive-thru. We paid for the food and then drove back to Austin and Cain’s house to eat. We grabbed some plates and sat out on the table on their porch. Justin sat down next to me, he put his hand on leg and moved it up up… My phone rang, startled I got up and walked inside. I looked at my phone, it read, incoming call Harper. “Hey hun.” I answered. Harper’s voice came over, “Hey I just got finished with my art class, are you still at Justin’s house?” “No, I’m over at Austin and Connor’s house, do you want to come over and pick me up?” I replied. Harper said she was on her way and hung up. I went out to the front of the house. Harper was pulling up, she parked and hopped out of our red jeep wrangler. I gave her a hug and we walked out onto the porch. We asked the guys what they were doing for the rest of the day, and then invited them to come into town with us. They grabbed their car keys and got into their car. Harper threw me the keys and we jumped in and drove into town. “Hot n Cold” played on the radio. Harper and I started singing, threw back our heads and laughed. I pulled into the market. The guys pulled in next to us. I told them I just had to grab some groceries and that I would be right out. I walked in a picked up a basket. I walked through the aisles, I grabbed some pretzels, some apples. As I was reaching for my soda, Brendan came around. “Anna, is that you?” he asked. I stood up and gave him a hug, “Oh I missed you!” He smiled at me, I told him I would call him to hang out. I grabbed my sodas, paid for my groceries, and walked out to the car. Justin came around and pulled me towards him. “Anna who was that guy in there?” At first I was puzzled and then I said “Oh that was Brendan, he is just a friend.” Justin kissed me and walked back towards the car. I exchanged glances with Harper, I jumped into the jeep started the car and pulled out. My phone rang, I looked at the screen and it read Libby. I pressed talk and screamed into the phone, “Omigosh Libby I miss you soo much, I am driving to your house right now!” Libby’s voice came over and she said, “Wait you are at the Lakes? Omigosh get your a*s over here now so I can give you a hug.” I laughed and hung up. I pulled into her driveway as she came running out. I jumped out of the car and gave her a hug. She looked over my shoulder and saw that Austin was pulling up in the car next to us. He got out and walked over to us. “Libby why don’t you join us we were all just about to go for a drive?” Libby smiled and ran back into the house, grabbed her bag and jumped into the back of the jeep. Austin pulled out and we followed. We all started talking and laughing and catching up on our time apart. After about an hour, I called Austin and asked him where we were going. He told me we would be there shortly. We drove on. Austin and the guys pulled into a café. I pulled up next to them. “So is this the place Austin?” I asked. Austin shook his head and we followed him into the café. We got some drinks and ordered some food, “How would you-guys like to go to a party in Sioux City?” Harper and Libby went outside to call their parents and I talked to them for a bit. I was sitting across from Justin and diagonal to Cole. Cole wouldn’t make eye contact the entire time we ate. He just stared forward or down at his food. We paid for the food, and got into our cars. Austin told us to follow him we nodded. I drove after him and we headed towards Sioux City. We were ready to party…
