The Wildfire Addiction

The Wildfire Addiction

A Poem by A

It comes in
like a wildfire
consuming
anything with life
leaving a trail
of its victims
the memories
the "once weres"
behind
I am left
to survive
with the burning
inside
the ashes
may cool
but the destruction
stays
waiting for
it to come back
it smells
the life
and comes
to steal it away
As Much as I hide
As Far as I run
it will find me
the wildfire
comes
waiting
until death
is
inevitable
