Flashes of Life (Wishing, Hoping, Dreaming)

Flashes of Life (Wishing, Hoping, Dreaming)

A Poem by A

I get these moments

In instances

Glimpses of what life could be

A forest of solitude

A beach of care

A star full of hope

A blue sea of happiness

Loneliness

Being something

Anything more

Than each day

Each moment

Of believing

Dreaming

There must be something more

The desire

The will

To do

To follow

To pursue

To just

Be

In a moment

In an instant

The flashes subside

And it’s all over

You no longer

Have an option

Your life is over

How fulfilled are you?

Looking back

Snapshot

How did your life appear?

Wow, this is beautiful writing. The short stanzas emphasize the choppyness of life. I hope you write more like this.
