There was something about the way he...

A Poem by A

There was something about the way he

Took my hand

As if he was scared

Ashamed

Afraid to ever trust

The way he kissed me

With such passion

No amount of alcohol could create

There was something about the way he hugged me

All of me

The way he accepted me

Than rejected me just as sudden

There was something about the way he could be himself

Tell me the truth

Than quickly hide over what he may have let down

The walls he may have been able to see through

We almost could touch

We almost could see

But too much time

And not enough trust caused me to be

Remembering

Reminiscing

The way he said my name

The way he questioned

With anger

The way he looked at me

After so long apart

The way he knew

Each part of my body

Each sound of my soul

Each crevice of my heart

The way he pulled

Took another piece

There was something about the way he

Stole my heart

And

There was something about the way

I let him

This is lovely. It comes together at the end nicely.
