The Mirror In Me (Poor Beautiful Rich Princess, How sorry I feel)

The Mirror In Me (Poor Beautiful Rich Princess, How sorry I feel)

A Poem by A

I hate

Can no longer take on

How needy

How useless

How dramatic

How much pain

You believe you have felt

Unless there’s

Something

You aren’t

Telling me

All the stories

Of the beautiful

Childhood

The love

Thrust upon you

All the fawning

Over how

Precious you are

Let me take a

Moment to grieve

All the non-chelate

The anger

The disappointment

When you say

I seem to really scare the lady

That listens

She keeps me for 2 hours

Over and over

Oh really?

Let me take care of you

More and more

I love when

I come across

A memory

A painful old thought

And you greet

It with

A story

Of the perfect dad

Or

Of the guy that doted on you hand and foot

All of that

I can say

I’m jealous

I see a mirror of what I have wanted

Yet I am stuck on one side of the glass

Only allowed to take care of you

Never to move forward of achieve what I see I want or need

But yet when I am moving forward

Taking steps away

And I don’t come back

Throwing my arms around

Showering you with love and self-esteem boosters

I am the bad one

I am the one that needs to get over it and apologize and come crawling back

Like hell

I have moved on

Can’t you see?

I have finally

Taken

Heard

Too much

Take care

Poor beautiful rich princess
