The Walls we hide behind

The Walls we hide behind

A Poem by A

We all have our walls we hide behind
The pasts we hold dear
Keep secrets
Hold it in
Don't dare show the face
Behind the mask
Daring to be truth
To be the one
To stand up
Say what's right
How wrong
Our world
Where honesty is a Lie
And fights exist to break down one another
Words and all
We all hide behind our walls
Break it down
Throw the rocks
Let go of the past
Move forward with strength
In the end
All that matters
Is your truth
How you handle your past
How you take the walls
That all seem to take root
Continuing to hide
And contain all our shames
What if
We broke it down
Tore down
Let it pour
Let it fall
Crumble
Beneath you
The past buried
The secrets accepted
Tear it down
One brick at a time
stone by stone
Watch it crumble
Before you
As you walk away
No looking back
Heading towards
Love
Truth
Freedom
From the walls
We
All
Have and all hide behind
