Losing what can't be lost

Losing what can't be lost

A Poem by A

The constant fear

Of losing

Something

Constantly

Checking

Always looking behind

Afraid to lose

What

All I need

Is in front of me

Is me

I can’t lose myself

Yet this fear

I hold onto

I let it run

And

Take over

My thoughts

Letting the

Worry

Sit in

What if what I’m?

Most afraid

Of losing

Is someone?

I have lost

Many

None taken

By death

Only distance

Fear

And lack

Of

Comprehension

Not afraid to

Lose

Something

A little afraid to

Lose

Someone

Always afraid to

Lose myself

Taking a step forward

Not allowing my

Mind to drift

Nor

My glances to

Lean towards the part

Only moving forward

Future

Bound
