Where have all the real men gone?

Where have all the real men gone?

A Poem by A

Where have all the real men gone?

I mean the knights that fought dragons for you

The cowboys that conquered the Wild West for you

The prince that waited 100 years to find you and kiss you

Searched the kingdom for the girl missing a shoe

Fell in love despite you having a voice

Yes, these are the extreme ones

So where are the men that open the doors for you

Hold your hand not letting go

Fight for you when you don't even feel like fighting for yourself

Calling you back when they say they will

Giving a damn about your well-being

Not accepting "fine" or "okay" as an answer when asked how you are

The man that sweeps you off your feet

Pills you back to kiss you if you're not agreeing on something

Takes you for a dance in the rain

Listens to what us girls like to call "feelings"/emotions

Shares his thoughts and opens up

A real man is the one with the boom box waiting outside my window ready to kiss me in the rain and standing up for me when no one else will

A real man risks it all for me and in the end will love for the rest of his days not just until the summer ends, the new games comes out, or even when the same is really just all the same

Search for the new, fight for the old

Be a real man and that's when you'll find your princes waiting to be swept off her feet into a passionate kiss that only you can satisfy
