Stop

Stop

A Poem by A

That overwhelming

Unending

Feeling

You’re ready

To leave

To die

To stop

Stop

Wait wait for?

What’s tomorrow?

What’s a year from now?

Your breath quickens

Your chest tightens

Palms shaking

Body heat slowly

Rising

Increasing

Untie one day

It explodes

All that’s left is

More pieces

More shattered pieces

Leaving the brokenness

Higher

Forever

Stop

Why?

Cleverly written piece. I like your style.

This poem felt like a warning label. Like something telling me to stop the meaningless things I'm doing and be ready for what is supposed to come next. Loved the simplicity of it. Well, I think I will "stop" for now...:-)
