Doubts

Doubts

A Poem by A

Those moments

everything you once believed

all you know

becomes doubts

in your life

in your mind

How could what feels

so right

be

so wrong

How could I doubt

what I know

what I believe

is true

Is this real

are my beliefs real

or

are my doubts

overpowering

taking control

of each thought

each part

of me that

wants to

hold onto

believe

and

be real

what is real?

what are my doubts?

This is a very profound and soul searching type of poem that gets to the heart of self preservation and self worth. Life throws curve balls at everybody. We're often tested with circumstances that are sometimes beyond our control. Having doubts just comes with the territory. Very well written. Nice job. :)

I doubt I could answer the question. Ha
Go back and read "Stop"; or should I say go forward?
You certainly left no doubt in my mind what you were saying.
Great poem!

The story of doubting your own beliefs. It's a great narrative.

I think, "hold onto... believe" should be "hold onto... belief"
My humble opinion.

It's the kind of narrative that I love to read.
Thanks for sharing.
