Love Sonnet XXIV (Dylan Revisited)

Night is fast approaching, it’s

getting too dark to see and

I need to lose these blues, rid

that black cloud we all can see.

I’m “knocking, knock, knocking"

on Revolution’s door. Long ago we

fought the “Man” who put us down, he

laughed at all the miseries he caused.

So, I’m “knock, knock, knocking" on

Revolution’s door, working to learn and

apply this liberating path, one that

will free the spirit from the cell; the

one that follows along the Avakian Trail.

I’m knocking on Revolution’s door.

Author's Note

....thanks for reading. An aside: Dylan was starting to go down the "religion" path with this song, but back then as now, we don't need to be on our knees. Rather we need to act on "We Refuse To Accept A Fascist America".

People crave revolution when under the wheel but forget things just go around and around. Best to evolve and forgo the tread marks altogether. This was a wonderful write, Curt:)

You will get a badge of honor to knock on revolution's door, whether in politics, religion or music.
Best wishes!
