Love Sonnet XI

 

 

The moon sways its fullness

as it shines upon your mouth

of red, exciting a blush

as my fingers caress your face.

 

What earthly powers have you

to commend the moon this way,

to kiss upon your skin

gentle notes of passion

 

from my flaming violin.

There must be a rush of magic

floating on this October wind,

 

a breeze of orange moon beams

that dance and hum and sing,

bestowing you, my heart hymn.
