Love Sonnet IX

Your skin is Earth tone,

deep brown, fertile

with flowering life,

the fragrance of pine

and Mahagony-filled mountains.

Oak and Sycamore take root in your breasts,

as your mouth breathes in summer rain

and exhales oceans of

whale songs sung in

worldwide symphonies

that burst with blue-green mist.

Love, my fingers move through

your natural hair, as

my mouth devours you in poetry.

What a lovely and natural depiction of love as appreciation and sensuality. Love Cohen, too. Great job on this. I enjoyed the read.

ohhhhhhhhhhh! i am not alone ...... :))))))))))))))))))) love ya man!
My, my, my! Is it too early to be swooning? Between your rousing verses and Leonard Cohen's electrifying performance, my heart is palpitating like a baby bird fallen from its nest. So smooth, so polished. This sonnet exudes passion in overwhelming proportions, leaving me lost in the aimless wandering of devouring poetry. What articulation! Thank you for the delectation, my friend! Love this!!
