It's interesting how we often do this, our mind reading ahead only to find that we have "misread". I do this all the time. And it often does change the meaning you get from the poem. Your leap to "mint" is a fascinating take on that line, one that I appreciated, as it gave a taste to the music.
Thanks again and I am happy to see you are still here.

ohhhhhhhhhhh! i am not alone ...... :))))))))))))))))))) love ya man!
My, my, my! Is it too early to be swooning? Between your rousing verses and Leonard Cohen's electrifying performance, my heart is palpitating like a baby bird fallen from its nest. So smooth, so polished. This sonnet exudes passion in overwhelming proportions, leaving me lost in the aimless wandering of devouring poetry. What articulation! Thank you for the delectation, my friend! Love this!!

Strange, but this morning while out for a walk, I found a baby bird. I brought it home, we drank some coffee, talked, and read poetry. After a while. the young bird got up and flew away. It was quite the morning!!
