Breath

....pondering again....

Breath

 

 

Do you ever think about breath?

Like, how many are in a second, or

have you tried to catch a breath? Or.

feel its wispiness,

or its taste

as it touches your skin.

Perhaps you tried counting how many

could be found in a surreal painting,

and like Dali, could only find a limp watch

hanging over a limb.

All I know about breath,

is that it comes with a smile,

then,

a sigh

when I see you.

Loved the reference to Dali. Your ending was so palpable and lovely, Curt. Nothing short of what I expect from you. After all, you do have a romantic side that has a tendency to snare my attention. Oops, did I say that out loud?

No, I don't live in NYC anymore. After 2 surgeries (2016 and 2017, I moved back to PA in August 2017 to live with my kids to recover and heal. My goal was to return to NYC but was unable to do so. I live in a retirement community about 16 miles from where I was born and raised, and an hour and a half from NYC. Funny how things work out in life.
