Love Sonnet IIA Poem by redzoneNumber 2 in this series of sonnetsLove
Sonnet II Neruda
spoke with a red velvet, impassioned
tongue, that sought your mouth, the
delight found on your breath, warm
with your honey’d skin, as
Spring rain caresses your body, wildflowers
bloomed in the
heat of your words written
across your moonlit breasts; the
dark earth called to the trees, whose
branches reach for unseen stars and
blue musky waters, washing,
rushing, over your almond skin, in
waves of trembling fingers, finding
your sweet apricot wind. Aztec
