Love Sonnet II

Neruda spoke with a red velvet,

impassioned tongue, that sought your mouth,

the delight found on your breath,

warm with your honey’d skin,

as Spring rain caresses your body,

wildflowers bloomed

in the heat of your words

written across your moonlit breasts;

the dark earth called to the trees,

whose branches reach for unseen stars

and blue musky waters,

washing, rushing, over your almond skin,

in waves of trembling fingers,

finding your sweet apricot wind.

Thank you for reading..
Not sure I like this sonnet as much as the first. It feels rushed to me, forced where it should flow smoother. This is my 2nd Nerudaesque love sonnet.

i don't know who Neruda is but she sounds a bit like a femme fatale. or maybe it was your feelings for her that made her seem godess-like. either way, this works very well as a sonnet. the desire is clear and full of emotive language.
