I Live To Tell

I Live To Tell

A Poem by redzone
"

....a Friday Night poem for a friend....

"
Note: some years ago a few friends would write and post what we called "Friday Night Poem", sensual/sexy poems to each other, sometimes in collaboration, sometimes just to each other.... this poem is one such poem...

I Live To Tell

under a Venus speaking

sky, my morning lips

        kiss your haiku flavored thighs

“A man can tell a thousand lies...,”

yet there is no lie in this:

my heart resides

within the eddies

and ocean tides

of your seductive smile.

Swirling amidst mint green

and springtime mists

while lazing on

this imagined coral reef,

I am pulled willingly

toward your out-stretched finger tips,

awaiting the outlined

tremble of your lips.

Mi corazon te pertenece, Amada mia.

Tu, mi rubi español,

eres encontrada entre el calor

del invierno;

tu corazon palpita

entre mis suenos de haiku

y brisas de sol rayado

--- dreams breaking down

this masculine resistance

with the poetry of your lips.

Spanish Ruby,

mi corazon te pertenece sola.

The chocolate almond tone

of your skin

entices a dance from my lips

that drink the sweet, sweet dew

of your flowering youth.

I listen to the Andean sighs

soaring from your Ecuadorian shores.

Amor mio, quiero

el tango libre te tu cuerpo.

Amor mio, te quiero.

Escuchas el palpito de mi corazon?

Speak to me with a haiku dawn

full of springtime butterflies

and gentle rain-forest mist.

Speak to me of your kisses

as you stand amongst

the morning valley bromeliads,

under a Venus speaking sky.

Besame demasiado, Amor mio!

Besame,  mi cantico español!

Escuchas el palpito de mi corazon?

“A man can tell a thousand lies…,”

yet there is no lie in this:

Amante mia, mi corazon camina

despasio y lento; it resides

within the eddies

and ocean tides

of your seductive smile.

Your Ecuador heart

dances within haiku dreams

kissing ruby skies

Thruttle me trussocks.
Which I know you understand too well.
Not only do you write with a wonderfully erotic beauty, but a blissful romanticism that reduces the reader to a heap as memories flood back. Wonderful poetry masterfully done.

Yes siiiirrrr. You are welcome my friend.
Wow, wee... amazing thoughts went into this poem...and, I who am from California and recently moved to Spain (with no connections here!) really relate to the words..
Amazing that you had a connection with other poets on another site... Am I envious...well, probably because I only just recently started posting and so wish i had started this many years ago..
Ah, well as they say...it is never too late..

You know I was the one who started the "Friday Night Writes" at that other site and that is the title of my new book as well. You had me at haiku flavored skies! I noticed you mentioned "Spanish Ruby". There was a poet named Ruby on that other site. She and I often wrote together. The Spanish lines in this poem add to the desire and romance. Your words sway and fall into each other. Curt, this one is a winner....and ogh so very nice. Lydi**
