A Question in 4 Parts

Part 1

Inside of a second -

a thousand lives burst,

the world shifts on its axis;

and you say -

(moving closer

your eyes dance erotically,

your breasts taunt) -

and you say,

“Well, are you gonna kiss me,

or not?”

Part 2

Inside a second -

after what seemed minutes,

my knees stopped shakin’

the room stopped spinnin,

your strawberry scented lips

teased and enticed.

And you say,

“Well, you’ve wanted to kiss me

all this time, haven’t you?”

Part 3

Inside a second-

standing so close

temptation’s taste

moves within your smile

and the feel of your antonyms.

And you say,

“Come, eat this hunger

on my lips,

the sway of these hips;

are you always this shy?”

Part 4

Inside a second -

head still in a sigh,

mouth suddenly dry-

yet I hear you say:

“Geronimo”!

“Gotcha”!

And I reply:

“About time”.
