Listening to 90’s music

and there it is.

Flea sang it,

“hit me, you can’t hurt me….”

and I thought,

WOW! The Chili’s

had their fingers on something important;

the boldness of youth

on full display.

 

Yeah, they strong,

got all that power,

weapons, mass destruction,

everything stacked against us.

But look,

they fled, humiliated

from the poorest country

in the world;

they fight amongst themselves

over how to rule,

how to stay number one;

they show, on full display,

how weak they really is.

 

We live on the bottom,

but we see the stars,

see more clearly

the path to take,

and while still far

to go, we aiming for the heart.

And, definantly, boldly, announce,

“hit me, you can’t hurt me,

SUCK MY KISS”

as I say goodbye,

send you to histories dust bin.
