Unheard Symphony

As the poet played his sax,

the moon sang the blues,

synchronizing the notes

and sent them floating

beyond the Milky Way.

When the aliens

heard these metaphors,

they danced,

creating a black hole symphony

and sent it towards Earth.

But the people here,

fighting to save their world,

never heard it.

The symphony came,

blew across empty streets,

burnt out forests,

and acidic oceans.

The symphony came too late,

playing only to a dead world.

Hauntingly tragic... and yet... and yet... I think I heard that symphony whispering through my dreams....
