All I Want

not too much to ask....

All I want

 

 

a stone tossed across the lake

creating ripples in time,

spirals of overlapping life,

the way the cosmos was formed

exploding in chaos

and symmetry;

into the knowable unknown.

To be accepted

as a thinking human being

for wearing my sweater inside out.

 

To sit on your lap,

holding your heart in my hands

as you say, “let me comfort you”.

And to turn this anger

into a tempered sword wiping

off the blood of hypocrisy,

oppression,

and this capitalist/imerialist system

that keeps the world in chains.

 

All I want:

the whole world alive,

in community

and living for the common good.

I want the same as you...living for the common good...
community....peace and love...not capitalism....
everything has gotten to be about money....
now our slogan should be "make love, not money"---

yes, you're right Jacob, and it has lessened us as human beings... we urgently need a whole new society and world, or what we become will be monsters or dead inside human forms... two different worlds, and which one we get depends on what we are actually willing fight for, no matter the difficulties and obsticles....
