Clear Sight

and a new day emerges

from the dawn.

Gone,

nights, its shadows,

and destructive forces,

in the first light

we see the destruction.

Nothing is left,

the rubble of once buildings,

human shadows

decorate side walks and partial walls;

ashe, dust, human blood,

mix in the air

and holds the stink

of human chaos.

 

The year: August 1945.

 

One of the biggest crimes against humanity

ever committed.

the air is clear,

but the obstacle that committed this crime

remains;

continues to destroy humanity,

is the obstacle

in our way.

yep, we dropped the bombs....so many innocents died...
so when will it be a "bright, bright, sun shiny day"?

we never learn from mistakes, history proves it.

Violence is not the answer to violence and destruction.

as far as I know, no one in the highest levels of US government has ever apologized to the peopleof the world and to Japan for this war crimial act and crime against humanity..... so I could never use the word "mistake", it was a cowardly and conscious act of terrorism.... Jacob, you are a kinder and gentler soul than I am...

when will there be "bright, bright, sun shiny days?" I firmly believe when we rid ourselves of this system that is the heart of these crimes (no matter who holds the red button)..... we really did think and in reality had this sytem on the run back in our youth... we lost not because we were too crazy or violent (most times it was a one way street them violently suppressing us), but because we did not have the strength to bring in a different system and power.... we were too scattered had no leadership with a plan.... but you can taste it in the air, the potential for blue skies is once again presenting itself.... one way or the other, the center will not hold and we are headed toward great upheavals....

Nuclear weapons are going to be the demise of our race on Earth if we don't do something about it. Some major countries are ready to destroy their enemy and vice versa. Thank you Redzone for speaking up those issues for that will be the end of life...Excellent...

thanks Sami, I think you may be right about the demise of humanity on the planet and for a period of time the 'red button' was in the hands of a fanatic.... though to be truthful, its always been a threat no matter who held the button.... we urgently need a society/world/system that repudiates the idea that 'might makes right'; that the way to peace is to have and use the biggest weapons of mass destruction.... and they have found a use for their nuclear waste.... the plutonium is used in shell casing for ammunition... it's the new 'agent orange''..... Sami we live in one fucked up country and world....
