poets are insupportable lol. Partly because they believe that metaphor creates this collateral adjective and that all things can feel, want and wonder. My cat, Ms Abigail, hams it up on the bathroom floor until I drag out that bag of kibbles. I am the enemy before that.
The beauty of this poem is the innocence of it's wonder. Love breeds contempt and the root of most hunger is prejudice. Ms Abigail thinks me accidental. Lovely thoughts. dana

Dana your Ms Abigail sounds a lot like my Ms Stitches (appropriately named) as sometimes I need some stitches after she demands her food and I am not fast enough in getting it... one of her favorite things is to attack me when I walk by.... all of a sudden I have a furry creature hanging from my thigh... so while you may be "accidental to Ms Abigail, I am Ms Stitches "boy toy".... lol.. oh and besides the "feel, want and wonder" you forgot to mention "talk"... Meow, meow meeooowww translated means thanks Dana for the great comment....
dear Curt... I have observed that many Cats have deep feelings.
We have domesticated two young Feral Cats. Being born outside,
it has been a challenge. We moved to a larger home across town.
Our Family Room and Sun Room has 'double doors with clear glass panels
up and down. Snowflake is a Male and a mix of Siamese. Clover is
a Tabby female. They have both been altered; so they are great Pals
and get along just fine. We can see them and they can watch us.
Of course, I keep their Room clean with fresh water and food. At least we saved them from
a rough existence in all seasons and weather. I can tell they have a lot of appreciation.
Sometimes I give them canned Tuna in water... Your poem is very amusing and
there are many stories about Cats. truly, Pat

I am convinced one of the reasons the cat I wrote about became more friendly, even falling asleep on my lap was because I fed her and played with her (she loves chasing a red light)....
so thanks again for your visit and comment and story...
I used to think along the same lines. haha There appears to be a reason for everything when comes to cats. :)

I had two of them. They both different personalities. :)
This mirthful poem brought a smile to my face. I adore cats because they are so independent in spirit. You have to work for their love and trust. Thank you for this enjoyable poem.

I love how your poem seems to lightly straddle the line between "cat" (the furry feline kind) & some other type of purring p***y that your words might allude to. Either way, you've captured how it can feel to be on the fence about your own role in all this p***y persuasion (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
