POEM 40 (Silence)

I love the wild silence heard

as the Aspen whisper to Cedars

in the early morn.

It’s a love sonnet

written on a summer breeze

as it tickles rustling leaves.

It reminds me

of the goose bump silence

stealing my breath

when you touch me.

Lovely concepts captured as you enjoy the silence. Something we should all appreciate much more.

Damn! I wish I'd been the one to write that opening line about Aspen & Cedars whispering! This is a fresh impactful poem. Usually I go for the longer ones, but you've packed a perfect punch here. The relationship between stanza 1 meaning & stanza 2 meaning is perfectly bridged with grace (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Great piece. Nature meets our nature. Thanks

this is wonderful....and i beg to differ..i like the oxymoron of the wild silence...but if we are quiet, there is something to hear...the rustling leaves of the trees speaking to one another...
a song many never hear because they just refuse to listen.
