Sumiregusa Dawn

 

 

morning colors

came crashing through my window

waking me

and disappearing a dream

of your warmth lying next to me

as the image of you faded

into a wisp of imagination

and i stared out from the back porch

a wild violet sky greeted me and

the sun emerged in the distance

the colors red blue

began to separate

forming white puff clouds

with purple high lights

 

thoughts of you

always make my mornings real

like there is no tomorrow

just today

 

after facing the four directions

asking for balance in all things

i am grateful

as you have brought me

a sumiregusa dawn

filled with your gentle touch

Something special about the early morning, the peace before the stampede of humankind.
A touch of nature in the morning usually does it for me. Always still amazes me how nature still goes on regardless of how we abuse her.

this is beautiful. rich in colour and imagery that creates a serene effect as the scene unfolds into the break of dawn. the quiet peaceful moment before the day comes in and the hustle bustle sweeps one away like a storm

Hi Ana, I have always had a love for early mornings, sitting outside when warm (or cooler in summer) drink coffee and listen to the night fade into day.... it is a nice time to day dream, to write or just listen to the morning sounds.... I have been doing a lot more of this since living with family in Pa...
