Colorful RealityA Poem by redzone….reality is often red...Colorful Reality
While travelling along a licorice road, I found myself floating in a butterscotch ripple sundae, with oreo cookies on the side. It was a magical journey filled with gooey caramel, marsh mellows, almonds, and a spoonful of chocolate sprinkles. All that was missing was a full blueberry moon rolling across a country field filled with wild red, purple and yellow zephyrs. As these colors blew, and thunder roared, I found myself staring at the limp Afghani girl, draped over her father’s arm; one of the many victims of a red, white, blue bomb, dropped silently from a whispering drone.
Closing my eyes, I downed another whiskey neat.
