Reality's Kiss

Reality's Kiss

POEM #7 " Poetry Month

I am listening to ‘Seventh Sojourn’,

Moody Blues sending me

once again into the wild universe

of future’s past,

of nights in satiny white,

and paths that go

round the next bend.

Sitting on dream’s threshold,

I imagine alien worlds

unfold before me.

And while they were filled

with musical rainbows,

bowed quite nicely,

and precisely,

by violin strings,

I knew it was in this world

I would find you.

Strings, vibrations,

uniting the large and small,

the universal glue

that moves my heart

in ways that brings me to you.

And, if you can imagine

a world free of tradition’s chains,

then maybe,

you will weave

and thread a spell made of

golden clouds,

and magickal strings around me.

And together, we will find

and read, all those letters

written, but were afraid to send.

We will then know

the eternity of the poetry

found in an exploding kiss.

And discover, all this is,

REAL.

I don't know if this is the one we were talking about but I'm going to read them all.
You are quite the writer. I love Nights in White Satin. Or is it Knights?
That sure would shine a different light, right?

Aww this was a sweet whisk through time. All the feelings and emotions that music of our youth can muster up, you brought together nicely.
