Missing You RedA Poem by redzone…. the color of friendship...Missing You Red
It’s funny, I think. What are friends? I’m not sure I know anymore.
All my friends that I met here, were worried that I left, offered their good wishes, expressed their concerns. It made me realize how beautiful these friends are, and humbled that I willingly embrace them.
Lately though, I have been feeling like that guy in all those Hallmark romcoms; the guy who is “a nice guy, wonderful, special, just not “The One.” “I don’t want to lose you, can we just be friends?”
Maybe it’s me, but, it’s been over a month and no words have reached me. Did I misunderstand your promise to stay connected; that you would share your adventure and journey of self- discovery and healing with me? I must have. But then, in all those romcoms, the “nice guy” label is usually a spell cast in a disappearing act.
So I disappeared, since being visible meant staring at heart pieces scattered all over every page I tried to write. Like this page, smeared with my blood, is just a canvas of one color, ‘missing you red’.
