Undone

Undone

A Poem by redzone
"

...once I loved... it came undone

"

Undone

“who do you need

who do you love

     when you come undone?”

          -- Duran Duran

there’s a Yellow Moon tonight

it shines somewhere

but not here

     here it is black.

somewhere stars shine,

they sing their songs,

make moon beams dance

but not here

     here there is only silence,

     cold and bleak.

somewhere there is love

and light,

where two hold hands,

laugh, tumble into arms

a passionate caress

somewhere tonight under a Yellow Moon.

but not anywhere near here

     here is only lonely,

     where you once played

     the music of my heart.

~~~
somewhere tonight a Yellow Moon shines
its violin for the stars
I swear it’s the music of you.
here, there is nothing,
your voice has gone silent,
you have gone away;
      here all has come undone.
As soon as I got to the "Yellow Moon" part, I remembered another poem of yours about the color "yellow" (loved that poem!) You're telling this with much melancholy . . . longing . . . sadness . . . I love the way you contrast how such-and-such is happening (happy stuff) but not here. I think many people think in these terms, like everyone else is having a great time & here I am all lonely. Actually I believe most people are miserable, so we only like to BELIEVE that someone, somewhere else is having it great! Anyhow, I love your poetry -- always so expressive & heartfelt. But I've been missing you on this website. I was happy to find a recent poem of yours I haven't read yet! *smile* (((HUGS)))
Our world can't help but unravel, after we have come undone. I'm surprised the sun and the moon know where to shine - but the violin seems apropos!
Singing....she's come undoneeeeee....she didn't know what she was headed for.....Yea, that seems to be the song of the week. The moon, the stars, and the sun are for lovers and for people who are content. Those who are not see only the darkness. The stars do not twinkle for them. The music will play again...perhaps not the same tune, but actually that is a good thing. Your words are always deeply emotional, Curt. So very "nice". Lydi**
no, never the same tune Lydi... Thank you.. I love your "nice reviews....
Such a great come back song for these guys and has inspired a great poem too. Time passes, voices go silent but the sun and moon both take turns sharing the day and the stars will live on forever. Even after we're gone.
