Shatter

Shatter

A Poem by redzone
"

...shatter me alive...

"

Shattering

I want to feel alive,

breathe in your fire,

taste your anise lips,

so come, shatter this frozen me

from shadow’s icy grip.

I want to see again

violin’s vibrating strings

wrap around piano ivory

toccata a spicy rum tune

that washes over me.

Make me feel alive,

let the river of you flow,

floating me down your rapids,

over rushing waterfalls

looking through mist to see lush valleys

filled with bluish orchids,

shatter me from this frozen life,

shatter me alive.

In these days of horror,

when many want frozen’s safety,

give me your dragon fire,

thaw my heart

with the wonders of caramel;

send me your music on butterfly wings.

Shatter me alive.

Wanting to experience every second of life with everything you have is like a cry from inside, compelling to live life to the fullest.

As a side note:
Lizzy is one of the best singers in music. To join her with Lindsey Stirling is a perfect combination.

Hard to get through that shell sometimes and those of us who hide behind one hope secretly that someone will come along to break it. Very romantic piece.

Is it me, or could this stand on its own merit? Wow, you certainly know how to woo, my friend!

Hi Kelly, thank you...
Romance can wake a person up...can move you over the cliffs and have the rapids wash over you. A cold heart needs to be thawed. A cold heart is not truly alive. Powerfully emotional write....so "nice". Lydi**

Thanks Jacob... indeed many dragons are needed, fire breathing... and playing the violin!! ;0)
Majestic and beautifully alive. You shatter the ceilings of poetry if there is such. You also bring the violin to great effect to shatter frozen ears...:)....................
