Rhapsody’s Lament

It is in the wind of music

that flutes play with cellos

note for note,

violins rustle the wind

bringing your song

to my shores.

And, now and then,

floating dream-like

on harmonious chords,

I hear your voice call

nervously in the night;

holding you close

as the movement calms,

I whisper, “be still my love,

my dissonant friend,

I am here

winter

summer

spring and fall

playing your rhapsody

until the end”.

Gracefully written dance between the musical instruments playing in your mind which resonate with the memories & romantic interludes also floating around in your memories. Love the details & the gentle descriptions thru-out.
