...well, I am, besides it's Friday and you know what that means...
“I’m Your Man”
I hear a sweet lullaby it blows on a northern wind, entices a howling by and by and my wistful sigh. “If you want a lover” and a friend, “then I’m your man.” ^^^ We have lived through Winter’s snow and nights of cold where days of old held us in an icy sway, where mad love and crows had their way. But if you want to dance, overcome these dark fears and walk with me for a while, “then I’m your man”, “I’m your man.” ^^^ Life often folds into hidden places where light fears to go and no music flows. It’s then I feel violins begin to blow your northern breeze across my skin, slow and so I say, if you want to bend with me, sway with me, then “here I stand, I’m your man.” “I’m your man”

I really like this one... the man of many hats....it's got a gypsy feel when combined with the music. Something close to my soul at the moment. A passion filled momentum. A great lover of love. BELLISIMO!

anway, thank you for a wonderful comment that is even better than the poem.. ;0)
I confess I don't know Cohen's work so much, but even without that knowledge, your poem is very expressive & lyrical, enticing & inviting. I love the way your expressions meld reality & fantasy so seamlessly. I love the repetition of "I'm your man" as it so relates to the overall message. I love that "the man" called for in your well-detailed scenarios is not a hero, he is not flawless or promising to fix anything, but simply trying to be a true friend, accepting the brokenness & soothing the heartstrings. To me, this message is more sweet than seductive *wink! wink!* (((HUGS)))

Smooth poetry....just like the smooth music. Leonard Cohen will be remembered. His music and his poetry came from the heart and no matter who sang his words, the deep emotion came through. His words embroider your romantic words in this tribute....wonderful, Curt. Happy Thanksgiving. May it be "nice". Lydi**

He had such a cool persona. I must admit, I've never heard this song before, but I enjoyed the performance! I heard a song of his performed by Tom Jones, the "Tower of Song". It gave such a lasting impression upon my heart...but this video, was the first I had ever seen him perform.
Your words offer the same warmth and sincerity of his voice. ...simply wonderful, Curt!
