Enough?

Enough?

A Poem by redzone
"

...silly love poem...

"

Enough?

of all the loves

that I have loved,

until you,

I have never loved enough.

my love,

these words I have

only for you

are written in a strange tongue,

symbols etched on my heart

and sung in spatial haiku

with senyru of flowing rivers

cascading down tall mountain walls

into verdant valleys under

Keats’s bright stars.

and still,

I have never loved enough

as I have loved you.

I believe that each time we love, it is just a little bit different. The first cut is not always the deepest. Sometimes relationships that are fourth, fifth, or even tenth are the ones we remember most...the ones that rent space in our hearts forevermore. This is such a romantic write, Curt. The emotions are honest and intense. Very "nice". Lydi**

thank you Lydi, I guess I just want more of those "very nice comments" you leave ;0
and when we really love enough...it's never enough because then it is infinite.

I like that... infinite love and if she is the right one, even this is not enough... thanks Jacob
The best part of this poem is the way it flows from top to bottom like the flowing rivers of which you speak! I also love the main concept . . . that there is always one love in our lives that surpasses all others, even tho that love may be long gone, it still colors our world as long as we live. I think that being inspired to love well & to love with abandon & enthusiasm -- this is the best beloved, the best friend, the kind of person who inspires us to be a better loving person. You've expressed this in a heartfelt way.

I understand the above lines. Too much, too little and never enough. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are right my friend and you are welcome.
I fail to see this as a "silly love poem". However could you miss with such a caliber of inspiration? I loved the opening verse and the last being the same...it reads beautifully, Curt!

I truly believe I was meant to live in that era of time. It's hard to think back to life that long ago...how penniless Keats was at the time of his death - and now, he is considered one of the most romantic poets of all time.
