... well, it is Friday night...

Something About Something

(NOTE: over the past few days I have been reading some

poems about “something”, usually referring to love and

matters of the heart. This is my contribution to this

conversation. Hey it’s Friday night folks)

 

These stars may twinkle

like sometimes something small, a

song, a smile, a touch,

 

is enough for me

to recognize entanglement

with you amazes

 

since within you, there

is just something that is so

nice, causing your light

 

and stars to expand

my universe as something ‘bout

something is ‘bout you.

I love your song selection . . . brings back memories of many somethings! *sigh!* I think the first poem I wrote for you was becuz there's just something about you . . . it's one of those subtle somethings that just stays stuck on one's consciousness like a wad of gum on one's shoe . . . following around with threads of familiarity & sweetness. Anyhow, your poem is a word picture of how this feels . . . almost impossible to detail or pin down, becuz it's just something that can be "a song, a smile, a touch" or more expansively, it can light up the night & intensify the stars. A sweet poem filled with innuendo....and tenderness. It brings to mind hiding behind high school lockers to see the object of your "something" walking down the hall. It is those indescribable, "somethings" that make life so "nice", my friend. I enjoyed this one. I am grinning. Lydi**

I did once and when she came around the corner I got a big kiss.. good thing it was the last class of the day or I would have been in dreamland all day!!! ha... thanks Lydi, and I am now grinning too..
