A moonless sky reminds me-
Bent and broken branches groan
With the ghosts of leaves-
All the while coyote’s flute
Greets me as I walk in shadows
Along the dry river bed
Between red clay mesa’s,
Feeling only the night’s chill…

There is a Native American feel to this one....and that was even before I listened to the music! Such a somber scene you create...walking through shadows in a dry river bed. Curt, I don't know where this one stems from, but there is something about it that makes me want to hug the words to my heart to keep them warm and safe. You really do have a lot of talent, my friend. Lydi**

Amazing song and good journey in your words. You took me to good place and create visions of peace. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
