Midnight
and the light was fandangled
in many shades.
Maybe it was just moon beams
fluttering from the sky,
but you always knew
how to make a grand entrance,
arousing heart beats,
serenading ink to dance across my page.

Or maybe, it was the way Mars
is sometimes the brightest orb in the sky
and reflects an impossible
“wish I may,
wish I might
have my wish tonight”,
a midnight kiss
to carry my heart,
but which can never come true….

So many strong statements in this poem could be the title. The words "serenading ink ". Tempting title I believe. I liked the tenderness and the pace of the words.
“wish I may,
wish I might
have my wish tonight”,

good afternoon Paloma, yes, stars do fizzle, planets crumble to dust, but it is only stars that grant dreams come true.. that allow for the possible... I seem to remember a song that spoke of "Impossible Dreams" foolish to waste them on Mars... oh well...

There's poetry in that response, 'impossible dreams' are usually for dreamers, poets, artistes and crooners. :)
