Titanium HowlA Poem by redzone...it's nice to have friends who allow you to write about them... I hope.. heheheTitanium Howl (a poem for barleygirl in 4 parts) There are times where there are no rhymes or rhythms that can soothe or remove those monsoon rains, downpours of pains, typhoon shards ripping you apart. These times knock me down as well to blend and howl as I hold you in my heart. I sometimes wish I could fashion you in blue titanium; a suit of skin with gently soothing fingers easing the synapses of pain giving you the mind and energy to stand and walk again... on your own. Yes, it is a metal suit, blue titanium skin surrounding, allowing a warm and beating heart to see its inner gold and outward to gently, with compassion face the world. You my friend, are a softly smooth titanium blue free to roam the world anew! And I hear you guitar pickin’, blues singin’ as notes howl to the night sky. I hear you say, “meet me down at the crossroads, don’t you pass me by, we can bed roll dream down by the river side kissing till we melt all the stars in the sky!” As “I stand next to your mountain” head held out in my hands, I hear another guitar playin’ a “slight return” as only SRV can so I howl and say, “thank you for your sweet time, I will gladly be your “Voodoo Child” and see you in this life, ‘don’t be late’. You can be my ‘Black magic Woman’ and dream with me under a ‘Yellow Moon’.... the one who creeps in my window.” With sweet mojo floating in all these songs, it is still the wonder I see shinnin’ from beneath your gently massaging, softly smooth titanium blue freely roaming the world anew! Aztec Warrior/redzone started 6.24.16 and finished 6.26.16 Some Notes: This poem was inspired by and written for my friend barleygirl. I hope she has as much fun reading it as I had writing it. Within the poem are references to and quoted words from several songs and then here are the links to the rest of the music with “Titanium” being the beginning and end point of the poem and it’s underlying mojo. Also SRV’s “Voodoo Child (Slight Return); Santana’s “Black Magic Woman”; and the Neville Brother’s “Yellow Moon”. Thanks for reading and hope you follow the links, listen to the music and get a flavor of what the poem is saying
