FAP #7: In 10 Songs

(A Musical Serenade)

1) Fantasy, Earth, Wind and Fire

It was her fantasy,

dancing with butterflies

while singing gypsy lullabies

that pulled me in....

2) Hooked On A Feeling, Blue Swede

The feeling of free falling

from a yellow moon

into a field of poppies

with the sweet smell of her desires...

but when I asked her to join me

for kaw-fee, she said...

3) Cherry Bomb, The Runaways

she said she was bat shyte crazy

insane,

then asked me to marry her

and ran away...

4) She Drives Me Crazy, Fine Young Cannibles

Yep, like noone else

but, who wouldn’t want

to chandelier dance with her,

laughing inside her gypsy sway?

I know

I haven’t been able to resist...

5) Rain, Dax Johnson

yet there is darkness, rain

and demons howl and hound,

gnaw at her stability,

at her inner security.

But still

she stands

and imagines

the end of oppression,

not for herself alone....

6) Heart, These Dreams

She lights a candle

seeing the things that could have been,

the memories shared

and what warm’d her heart

and while it is through

a cold mist,

she knows well

the beauty of her sister’s heart..

She dreams and imagines....

7) Imagine, Ray Charles

yes, she imagines

for sweet smelling air,

for women to live, alive,

with no fear

to look any man eye to eye

and see our children

grow strong,

like the green-ness of trees...

8) David Bowie, Moonage Daydream

and so, she dreams

daydreams, a freak-out

break-out guitar swirl of

a moon walk life,

and I am coming for you...

9) Elvin Bishop, Fooled Around And Fell In Love

funny you may say,

it started as replies to poetry.

A give and take

banter’d story....

10) Jennifer Connelly, Sway

But at times, this universe,

alive with tricky nano-seconds

of “Y” ending days,

just confronts you with fate

and warmth happens.

That’s my story anyway.

So I say: Dance and sway with me

always....
