FAP #1:  A Winter’s Tale
It was a Winter’s tale
you told as soft,
fluffy snow,
fell around us.
Your eyes danced excitedly
with the laughter in your heart,
as you announced,
“we are, all of us,
miracles;
tied together
as one.
And when we die
we fill the sky
with our light.
We become the stars.”
Castor,
Cassiopeia
Cepheus.

~~~~~~
“Do you believe in miracles?”
~~~~~~

No,
not really.
There is no reason
for our existence
and yet,
we are tied together
in countless ways.
I believe our light
returns to the star stuff
from which we were born.
Andromeda,
Gemini
Pleiades...
~~~~~~
I believe
in you;
light’s miracle
found twinkling
in your smile.
Tempting me
the way Benny
enticed Joon.
The way Peter Lake
kissed Beverly Penn.
~~~~~~

No,
I don’t believe in miracles.
But, I believe
in the miracle
that is
Cassiopeia,
Pollux,
Cepheus....
The light
I found in you.

This is more than the sum of it`s parts....an adoration of life`s light....a gentle wonderment....that makes it a beautiful musical poem. I`ll read more of you, Curt. P.

Gorgeous write, Curt. How one cannot believe in miracles is beyond me. The stats with regards to our very existence is astounding. Yet here we are … life … existing in a cold vacuum … how much miracle do we need?

Oh, Curt, I am NEARLY speechless! The beauty of the romance in this poem is overwhelming. The celestial wonder is enchanting. The light.....it is there if you keep your eyes open, my friend. I do believe in miracles.....because I read poetry like this. Incredible! Oh, and also very "nice". Lydi**

Wow, this was very good. First time reader, brand new fan. This piece danced across the screen as I read. It took me to different heights and levels, out into space and deep within. Very good.
