Shadow land

..a journey within shadows...

SHADOW LAND

Hidden within the shadows

found between what you desire

and what is possible to obtain,

lies a treacherous path.

It is also where whispers of you

glide down tears and laughter,

defining the way you converse

in the motion of a summer day

filled with cotton candy secrets.

Secrets shared while

dancing with you cheek to cheek,

as your similes play

teasingly in my ear;

as your laughing hands

hold me tighter around my waist.

And for a few delicious moments

I find it is nice to wonder in shadows.
