"She Has Bette Davis Eyes"A Poem by redzone...wrote this for a challenge at another poetry site...“SHE HAS BETTE DAVIS EYES” Did I say her eyes can see into the thunder’s noise? Separating decibels into tones, or open the way music entwines on a sheet with clefs leaking into the distance between flats, sharps and eighth note claps? Did I say she can see the play within the scales of time crisscrossing each wintry day, kissing each second with a glance as her eyes can see purple and its jazzy rage of whole note scented sage? Sitting, between sets in a blue haze she walks past, looking at me with eyes that could see my thoughts before they came to me, and they smiled glitteringly at the way I followed her red legged sway. She sat in saxy hues drifting on the art of noise. Did I tell you? Her eyes. They are blue And I am lost following the jazzy scent of sage into down into an endless blue lost in Bette Davis eyes. ~~redzone 1.4.05~~ (edited 4.22.14) © 2014 redzoneAuthor's Note
